Who Can Contribute?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
State PAC (CNSPAC)
Contributions are limited to only the employees, officers, directors,
stockholders, or any level member of the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians
Association.
Federal PAC (CNPAC)
Voluntary contributions may be accepted from any U.S. Citizen. However,
solicitation for contributions is limited to any level  member of the Nebraska
Chiropractic Physicians Association.  The law also prohibits contributions
from corporations to the Federal PAC. This prohibition applies to any
incorporated organization, profit or nonprofit., For example, the owner of an
incorporated "mom and pop" grocery store is not permitted to use a
business account to make contributions. Instead, the owner would have to
use a personal account. A corporate employee drawing account can be
used, which allows the individual to draw personal funds against salary,
profits or other compensation.
(Non-repayable Corporate Drawing Account)

Why Do Chiropractors Need a PAC?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Government activity at both the state and federal levels has a direct impact
on health care providers and the entire health care system.  A strong political
action committee is an essential tool for any effective governmental relations
effort.  Your individual participation in the political action process can help
shape public policy so that it is responsive to the needs of health care
providers and the patients we serve.

Many important health care issues will be debated in Lincoln and
Washington during 2008. A strong PAC will allow the Nebraska Chiropractic
community to join together and help shape public policy so it reflects the
needs of health care providers and the patients we serve.

Participation in the PAC allows us to communicate that lawmakers must
recognize the true costs of patient care, regulatory compliance, and a quality
workforce. Providers should be able to spend more time on patient care and
less time on paperwork.

Where Will My Contribution Go?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A contribution to the CNSPAC/CNPAC Campaign helps your voice to be
heard in both Lincoln and Washington. The money raised by the PAC
committee is used by the
Legislative committee to present issues of
concern to candidates for state and federal elected offices.  The input of
doctors in each district of the State helps the PAC contribute to candidates
that share the goals of the membership of the Nebraska Chiropractic
Physicians Association.
